Pet Sitters Plus, LLC is a complete in-home pet care service company providing quality care for dogs, cats, birds and all domestic pets.
We established Pet Sitters in 1998 as animal lovers who, like you, sought a more personalized type of care for pet family members. Our clients enjoy the reliability and consistency of the service we provide, while their pets receive personal attention in their own, healthy, home environment.
We carry a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy to insure the protection of your home and possessions. We also provide bonding insurance for all our sitters. Our services are available 365 days a year, and in an emergency, our 24-hour voice mail is checked regularly on all days, including when our office is closed.
Pet Sitters Plus is a charter member of Pet Sitters International (PSI), an organization of nearly 1,000 member services designed to help establish industry standards.
About the Owner
Kathy Burch was the kid on the block who always brought home everything alive - dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, turtles you name it. She grew up with greyhounds mostly who gave her the earliest experiences in rescue type canine personalities as they were commonly known as "throw away track dogs." In her teens and early twenties, Kathy showed cocker spaniels competitively and had the oppurtunity to apprentice with a local dog trainer who inspired her at an impressionable age to continue and stay updated with training techniques. Though most of her early years were spent with the small domestic pets, she did have horses and showed them competitively as well. When she retired as a teacher in arts and education, she started pet sitting to spend more time with pets which has always been her passion. Her philosophy is that most pets are safer and more comfortable staying home in the "creature comforts" of their familiar surroundings. The sitters who help Kathy at Pet Sitters Plus are all adult caregivers who have a wide variety of professional experience from vet techs to rescue work who devote themselves to their work with "All God's Creatures."
